Peter Greenhalgh has been a cornerstone of the Sturt Lacrosse Club, demonstrating exceptional commitment and leadership across every level of the organisation since joining in 2018. His playing career began with immediate success, securing a Division 2 Premiership in his first year, followed by selection to the State League team and later, scoring the winning goal in the 2024 Division 2 Grand Final. Beyond the field, Peter has dedicated himself to the club's administrative success, serving as Club President from 2023 to 2025. During his presidency, he orchestrated the successful hosting of the 2023 Lacrosse Australia Senior National Championships and led the efforts for Sturt's 125th anniversary "500 Tournament." Furthermore, he championed the club's culture by successfully lobbying to host the prestigious ANZAC Day match and reviving the tradition of awarding Life Memberships after a 10 year hiatus.

Peter's impact on youth development is profound, as evidenced by his coaching versatility across multiple junior age groups and his ability to nurture elite talent. His exceptional coaching quality was highlighted when he guided the U15 Girls team from only three wins the previous year to the Grand Final. More significantly, he fostered an environment of growth where nine players earned representative team selection, including two captains who had overcome personal challenges at previous clubs. Critically, Peter's legacy is further defined by the fact that two of the youth players he coached have gone on to represent Australia, marking the ultimate success in player development. Recognized as the Best Male Club Person in 2022, Peter's comprehensive contributions—from volunteering behind the bar to leading the entire club—solidifies his reputation as an invaluable figure in the history and ongoing success of the Sturt Lacrosse Club.
